Ukrainians, Russians and Georgians in New York protest Russian invasion of Ukraine

Written by Radu Polizu

Ukrainians gathered in Times Square on Sunday to protest the crazy invasion of their country by a lunatic isolated in his Urals’ bunker. Wrapped in the Ukrainian flag, bringing their families and children they stayed in a somber mood around the northern end of Times Square.

On the southern end of the square, the atmosphere was more alive with chantings, slogans, and inflammatory speeches. Here were the Russians protesting against the invasion of Ukraine and addressing all their wrath towards the killer-in-chief of the Kremlin. In full solidarity with Ukraine, the Russians cursed Putin hoisting large portraits of Putin’s opponents killed or arrested with impunity.

Georgians have not forgotten also. Parts of the country was occupied by the brutal Russian forces in 2008 in another abusive invasion.
